This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Feeder cattle found support in the market as traders eagerly await the cattle on feed report coming out Friday. Let’s go to Virgnia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day up 2 ¾, to finish at 7-51 ¼. Dec. Corn was up 1 ½, to close at 5-65. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were up 7 ½, to settle at 7-36 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch to up 10, ranging from 10-00 to 12-10. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Oct. was Unch up to 10, ranging from 9-80 to 10-39. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Oct. were up 7 ½, ranging from 8-61 ¾ to 8-96 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were up 3 ½, ranging from 10-41 to 10-56.

Live Cattle for Oct. were up $.92 ½, closing at 129.05. Sept. Feeder cattle were up $2.42 ½, to finish the day at 163.35. Sept. Class III milk was dn $.18, to settle at 17.13.
