This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Grains find support in the market as prices surge across the board, where the market goes from here depends on upcoming weather patterns. Let’s go to Ted Seifried with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day up 26 ½, to finish at 7-53 ½. Dec. Corn was up 14, to close at 5-73 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were up 28 ½, to settle at 7-38 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was up 55-10, ranging from 9-60 to 11-50. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Oct. was up 93-10, ranging from 9-80 to 10-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Oct. were up 28 ¾, ranging from 8-60 ¾ to 9-10 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were up 18 ½, ranging from 10-29 to 10-64.

Live Cattle for Oct. were up $.92 ½, closing at 128.50. Sept. Feeder cattle were up $.72 ½, to finish the day at 163.55. Sept. Class III milk was dn $.32, to settle at 16.92.
