Ag Barometer Down Again and NW Hort Expo Returns to Live

**When it comes to flowers, roses are among the most widely recognized. But where do they flourish?
Eight California cities rank among the best in the U.S. for rose gardens, according to a recent ranking based on factors such as growing season and average summer temperature, precipitation and hours of sunlight.
California growers produce approximately 17 million stems of cut roses and 4 million units of potted roses annually.
**The Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer marks a second month of sharp declines, down 21 points to a reading of 137 in June.
Producers were less optimistic about both current conditions on their farming operations as well as their expectations for the future.
The Index of Current Conditions dropped 29 points to 149, and the Index of Future Expectations fell 17 points to a reading of 132.
**The Washington State Tree Fruit Association and the Northwest Hort Expo have announced the return to an in-person conference and trade show December 6th-8th.
2021 Annual Meeting Chair Jordan Matson says, with the recent announcement by Governor Inslee, we are confident that we will be able to return to our traditional format and remain committed to delivering a world-class conference and trade show for attendees.
This year’s meeting and trade show will be held at the Yakima Convention Center and Sun Dome.”
