Cattle Firm Up

This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Feeder Cattle made a good run yesterday, will the rally continue? Here’s Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to share more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day dn 12, to finish at 729 ¾. July Corn was dn 7 ½, to close at 714 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were dn 19 ¾, to settle at 690 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with Ordinary Protein were Unch, Ranging from 7-05 to 7-90. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for June was Unch, ranging from 6-70 to 7-90. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for June were dn 19 ¾, ranging from 8-05 ¾ to 8-10 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were dn 5, ranging from 8-70 ½ to 8-85 ½.

Live Cattle for June were dn $.02 ½, closing at 118.60. Aug Feeder cattle were up $1.67 ½, to finish the day at 150.52 ½. June Class III milk was up $.64, to settle at 19.64.
