This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Corn rallied once again, to finish the week with a bang while cattle took the brunt of the blow. Let’s go to Greg Sanders with the USDA to hear the weekly cattle update.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day up 5 ¾, to finish at 734 ¾. July Corn was up 25, to close at 673 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were up 9, to settle at 703 ½.

Portland prices for Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for June was Unch, ranging from 6-70 to 7-90. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for June were up 9, ranging from 8-18 ½ to 8-23 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were up 19 ¾, ranging from 8-68 ¾ to 8-83 ¾.

Live Cattle for June were up $.52 ½, closing at 116.57 ½. Aug Feeder cattle were dn $3.12 ½, to finish the day at 146.75. May Class III milk was dn $.04, to settle at 19.18.
