This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. The Corn market continues to be an impressive comeback story, as traders and producers alike eagerly focus on the $6 mark. Let’s go to Scott Shellady with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day up 7 ½, to finish at 661 ¼. July Corn was up 11 ½, to close at 592. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were up 9 ¼, to settle at 628.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 6-70 to 7-05. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for July was Unch – dn 1, ranging from 6-70 to 7-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for June were up 9 ¼, ranging from 7-43 to 7-48. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were up 4 ½, ranging from 7-86 to 7-96.

Live Cattle for June were up $.60, closing at 119.20. Aug Feeder cattle were up $1.75, to finish the day at 154.52 ½. May Class III milk was up $.16, to settle at 19.32.
