This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cattle lower for the 5th day in a row to finish the week, while box beef prices remain storng. Let’s go to Joe Vaclavik’s podcast “Grain Markets & Other Stuff” to hear the details.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day dn ½, to finish at 655. May Corn was dn 4 ½, to close at 585 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were up 1, to settle at 616 ¼.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 6-70 to 7-05. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for June was Unch, ranging from 6-70 to 6-80. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for June were up 1, ranging from 7-31 ¼ to 7-36 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were Unch, ranging from 7-86 ¼ to 7-91 ¼.

Live Cattle for June were dn $.47 ½, closing at 119.17 ½. May Feeder cattle were dn $.70, to finish the day at 143.72 ½. May Class III milk was up $.54, to settle at 19.04.
