This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. The corn market might’ve finished yesterday in the red but comparing to last year, things are looking very promising. Scott Shellady with the CME Group shares more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day up 5 ¼ to finish at 655 ½. May Corn was dn 4, to close at 590. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were up 3 ¾, to settle at 615 ¼.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 6-70 to 7-05. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for June was Unch, ranging from 6-70 to 6-80. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for June were up 3 ¾, ranging from 7-30 ¼ to 7-35 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were up 2 ¼, ranging from 7-86 ¼ to 7-91 ¼.

Live Cattle for June were dn $.40, closing at 119.65. May Feeder cattle were dn $1.00, to finish the day at 144.42 ½. May Class III milk was dn $.33, to settle at 18.50.
