This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cattle surge to end the week as demand begins to pick up as we start into the warmer months. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for May closed the day dn 4, to finish at 638 ½. May Corn was up just ½ to close at 539. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were dn ¾, to settle at 603 ½.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 7-40 to 7-80. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for May was Unch, ranging from 7-20 to 7-65. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for May were dn ¾, ranging from 7-23 ½ to 7-33 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for April were dn ¼, ranging from 7-48 ¾ to 7-58 ¾.

Live Cattle for June were up $.75, closing at 120.42 ½. May Feeder cattle were up $1.97 ½, to finish the day at 148.37 ½. April Class III milk was dn $.38, at 17.71.
