Cattle Continue to Dip Lower
This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Commodities across the board sink lower to kick off the week, Live Cattle dn $7 in just 2 weeks. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for May closed the day dn 10, to finish at 650 ¼. May Corn was dn 9 ½ to close at 538 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were dn 10 ½, to settle at 623 ¼.
Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch – Up 5, ranging from 7-40 to 7-75. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for May had a mixed market up 10 and dn 5, ranging from 7-30 to 7-60. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for May were dn 20 ½ - 10 ½, ranging from 7-43 ¼ to 7-63 1/4. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for May were dn 5 ¼, ranging from 7-38 ½ to 7-58 ½.
Live Cattle for April were dn $1.02 ½, closing at 118.97 ½. April Feeder cattle were dn $1.45, to finish the day at 141.12 ½. March Class III milk was dn $.10, at 16.12.
