This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Grains on a rollercoaster ride yesterday as prices were mixed throughout the day. Let’s go to Joe Vaclavik’s podcast “Grains Markets and Other Stuff” for more details.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for May closed the day dn 9 ¾, to finish at 675 ¾. May Corn was dn 7 ¼ to close at 549 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were dn 10 ½, to settle at 652 ½.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 7-40 to 7-70. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for May was Unch, ranging from 7-20 to 7-65. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for May were dn 10 ½, ranging from 7-82 ½ to 7-92 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for May were dn 7, ranging from 7-55 to 7-75 ½.

Live Cattle for April were up $.55, closing at 121.67 ½. April Feeder cattle were up $.32 ½, to finish the day at 145.07 ½. March Class III milk was up $.17, at 16.03.
