This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Tuesday. Corn does it again, prices surge, and investors set their sights on the $6 mark. Here’s Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day up 14 ½, to finish at 655 ¾. March Corn was up 15 ¼ to close at 563 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March. were up 14 ¼, to settle at 644 ¼.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 7-30 to 7-55. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for April was Unch, ranging from 7-10 to 7-45. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for March were up 14 ¼, ranging from 7-69 ¼ to 7-89 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March was up 9 ¾, ranging from 7-51 ¼ to 7-71 ¼.

Live Cattle for April were up $.17 ½, closing at 123.95. March Feeder cattle were dn $.82 ½, to finish the day at 137.45. March Class III milk was dn $.15, at 16.54.
