This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. With new money entering the market, grains make a run for it yesterday, as wheat and corn prices surge. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to share more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day up 16 ¾, to finish at 665 ¼. March Corn was up 20 ¾ to close at 532 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March. were up 13 ¾, to settle at 641.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 6-93 to 7-30. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for March was Unch, ranging from 6-70 to 7-10. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for March were up 13 ¾, ranging from 7-71 to 8-06. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March up 12, ranging from 7-48 to 7-68.

Live Cattle for April were up $.15, closing at 123.10. March Feeder cattle were dn $2.37 ½, to finish the day at 141.47 ½. March Class III milk was dn $.48, at 16.56.
