This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Grains finished the week sharply lower, while cattle saw an opportunity and took advantage. Feeder cattle shot up $5 on Friday . Here’s Scott Shellady with the CME Group to share more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day dn 26 ¼, to finish at 634 ½. March Corn was dn 23 ¾ to close at 500 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March. were dn 22 ½, to settle at 613 ¼.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 6-93 to 7-30. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for March was Unch, ranging from 6-70 to 7-10. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for March were dn 22 ½, ranging from 7-43 ¼ to 7-78 ¼. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March dn 22 ¾, ranging from 7-22 ½ to 7-42 ½.

Live Cattle for April were up $2.57 ½, closing at 122.52 ½. March Feeder cattle were up $5.00, to finish the day at 144.15. March Class III milk was up $.21, at 17.54.
