This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Feeder Cattle took advantage of weaker grain numbers yesterday, chasing some lost ground from last week. Here’s Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to share more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day dn 4 ½, to finish at 667 ¾. March Corn was dn 4 to close at 522. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for March. were dn 7, to settle at 637.

Portland prices for Ordinary Club Wheat were Unch, ranging from 6-93 to 7-30. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for March was Unch, ranging from 6-70 to 7-10. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for March were dn 7, ranging from 7-67 to 8-02. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March dn 6, ranging from 7-47 ½ to 7-67 ½.

Live Cattle for April were dn $.47 ½, closing at 118.87 ½. March Feeder cattle were up $.72 ½, to finish the day at 137.52 ½. Feb. Class III milk was dn $1.35, at 17.13.
