According to the U.S Drought Monitor, areas of Colorado, Kansas and southwest Nebraska saw 2-4 degrees above normal. Eastern Colorado and southwest Kansas remain the driest portion of the High Plains. Severe drought was expanded over southeast Colorado during the period and moderate drought and abnormally dry conditions were pushed eastward.
