Farmers and ranchers have been dealt a lot of challenges this year. From low market prices to uncooperative weather, it seems like its been one challenge after another.

Roger Johnson is the president of the National Farmers Union and says NFU understands these challenges and is working with producers to help them.

"You know, we're in year seven of declining net farm income" said Johnson. "There's a lot of stress and if it weren't for the MFP payments that have been doled out in the last two years, I think they're would be people out of business all over the place. There's just a lot of emotional stress because there's enormous financial stress and you have it on top of that. We've also had a year when the weather has just been uncooperative as can be."

Both the National Farmers Union and American Farm Bureau Federation are working together to help farmers and ranchers with the tremendous amount of mental stress they’re facing these days.
