As the food and farm industry are trying to come up with novel methods of adding omega-three fatty acids to our diet the best way for you and I to get our dose is to eat fish. Not just any fish, oily fish like tuna and salmon. That bodes well with salmon farmers who have been battling environmental and health critics bent on undermining their profession. For the first time they are pulling out all stops advertising with the big guns in hopes to reach more consumers. It isn't cheap! $100,000 bought salmon producers just one very slick insert in the New York Times. Yet they are banking that that one shot will help create consumer awareness for farmed salmon. Salmon farmers have put up the funds in the hopes of educating a public influenced by extremists. Salmon farmed or wild is still one of the healthiest dining choices and it is our best way to receive omega three fatty acid. But I wonder if one $100,000 ad will convince us of it?
