More details on the effort by Colorado Ag officials to give a boost to new and growing ag based companies in the state.A variety of food companies call Colorado home and the state department says it hopes to be an incubator for food entrepreneurs.
Danielle Trotta is Business Development Specialist with the Colorado Department of Agriculture. She earlier told Colorado Ag Today that CDA has planned two workshops to help food and agricultural businesses get started and grow.
A January 29th Workshop in Broomfield for businesses and producers looking to take their products and commodities to retail and beyond. Speakers are folks who have been through the process.
"We have Debbie Knapp who is a former product manager for Natural Grocers. She has a lot of insight about what those retailers are looking for. How to go into their facilities and pitch your product."
Speakers for a February 13th Fort Collins workshop include Mike Hardin, Director of Business and Licensing with the Secretary of State's Office and Peter Mohr, Director of Operations for Naturally Boulder.
