With hot and dry conditions continuing to grip most of the western US, ranchers and Dairy farmers are doing their best to keep cattle fed and watered.

But I could not help but take the opportunity to share a story with you from KISR about what some cattle producers are doing to see if their cattle have enough nutrients, especially protein when dry conditions persist.

Paul Chard is a Veterinarian and says "cowpieology" is important to identify potential issues.

Cowpieology is not a brand new concept by any means... In fact in some areas, cowpieology workshops are held.
