Peggy Watland,Spokesperson for Glanbia, told me that Southwest Cheese & Glanbia Nutritionals scored an impressive fourteen medals at the 2017 US Championship Cheese contest held this month in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The impressive medal haul include five gold, five silver and four bronze. This year’s competition saw a record-setting 2,303 cheese entries from 33 states across the nation.Southwest Cheese in New Mexico was awarded medals in the following categories:

Pepper Jack Medium heat
Pepper Jack Ghost Pepper
Habanero Cheddar
SILVER
Monterey Jack
Pepper Jack

The Glanbia Nutritional’s Twin Falls plant and Cheese Innovation Center (CIC) were also awarded medals in the following categories:

Their gold medal, Gouda Green Olive and Pimento Cheese submission, landed them in the category of the twenty best overall entries for the top United States Champion award.
