This is your Northwest report for Thursday, February 2, I'm David Sparks and Agri-Pulse.com reports the tumultuous relationship between President Donald Trump and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has Northwest farmers worried about the future of the North American Free Trade Agreement, a trade pact that is regarded highly by much of the agriculture sector.

Trump made repeated promises on the campaign trail to either renegotiate the agreement with Mexico and Canada or pull the U.S. out altogether. NAFTA. Here is Darcy Pawlik a Washington state-based representative from Syngenta who specializes in wheat.

Will western Washington weather dish up some snow on Friday? Or will it be another no-snow-again-agedon? Seattle's KIRO 7 meteorologist Nick Allard is confident enough to say that some snow will fall around western Washington on tomorrow morning.

Allard said he thinks it will be a battle between how much moisture we get with how much cold air we have.

It will be an even battle for Washington weather — a south-to-north wind will blow through the region while cold air will linger Friday morning. The wind generally diminishes the likelihood of snow, as warm air comes up from the south, bringing moisture with it, according to Allard.

KATU2 in Portland says The Willamette Valley is under an advisory for wind and a Winter Storm Watch heading into the back half of the week, with expectations of snow and ice across the area.

The 'freezer door' is now open in the Gorge, where wind gusts will top 70 to 75 miles per hour on the western end.
