This is your Northwest report for Wednesday, November 23, I'm David Sparks. Remember the old chant from men at sea... "Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink". Speaking of water, how about a new refrain... "WOTUS, WOTUS everywhere and it really stinks". That is certainly how so many of us in agriculture feel about the EPA's waters of the United States rule. It is the hope of many in agriculture to change this law and now, with President-elect Donald Trump soon to come on board, many people in agriculture and politics hope that he can intervene. Collin Woodall with the National Cattlemen's Beef Association is one of those who think that WOTUS is susceptible to administrative action.

Speaking of the President-elect, agri-pulse.com is reporting Mr. Trump announced that he will follow through on campaign promises to withdraw the U.S. from the 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a trade pact that is still supported by much of the agriculture sector.
