Hunting and Fishing License Identity Breech Update

Last week Idaho, Washington, and Oregon Fish and Game Departments all learned that license holders of hunting and fishing licenses purchased prior to 2008, may be at risk of identity breech. Here's Mike Keckler with Idaho Fish and Game to share more on the matter.

Mike "We're continuing to work with the company that owns and operates this licensing system for us, active network, which is based in Texas. As more information comes out we continue to update our website to let our hunters and anglers know what the latest information is. We've also provided some information for them that they can use to protect themselves. In other words it's important to monitor such things as banking accountants and it's also a good thing to monitor credit ratings. We've listed some free sites on our website where people can go out and check their credit scores. Just look for anything that looks unusual, and if you do spot something that doesn't jive. We encourage folks to get in touch with their local police department or Sherriff and they will investigate. Of course if there's any more information they need we would also encourage to give Idaho Fish and Game a call. We are continuing to update information when we get it, and we are still expecting some more information to come out next week."
