Where's Wyatt
Where is Wyatt? It's been a while since this happened, but imagine my shock and dismay when I learned that Wyatt Prescott was leaving his position as Executive Director of the Idaho Cattle Association. I have been working with Wyatt for years and years and always found him to be articulate, succinct, honest and direct. On top of that, we went for beers from time to time just to catch up and share our thoughts. So what happened to Wyatt? Here is current ICA Pres. Laurie Lickley: "He was looking to raise his family in an area outside of Boise and his ultimate goal is to do what we all do and that is to ranch full-time. So the opportunity came along for him to contract with the University of Idaho to manage the Rock Creek Ranch which is a collaborative partnership between the nature Conservancy, the Would River Land Trust and the University of Idaho. We are all trying to collaborate to get it into the hands of the University of Idaho primarily because there are 10,000 deeded acres on this ranch in addition to about 10,000 acres of BLM ground. We think it is a premier opportunity to do some research that you cannot get done on public land. We have also contracted back with him to do some government work, as in lobbying.
