I'm Susan Allen, Kentucky has their Bourbon Trail, never one to be outdone, and we in Washington State have our Spirit and Hops Trail. And is it any surprise that it's in a region that was birthplace to our state's wine industry. Here is John Cooper, President and CEO of Yakima Valley Tourism

COOPER: Well the Yakima Valley for the past 30 plus years has been a major wine destination; it's where the wine industry started. But likewise we are a prime agriculture region we grow more than 75 percent of America's hops as well as with all of our fruit crops and we make great cideries and distilled products.

So in the last few years we have been focusing in addition to wine country the number of craft beverages that are being produced here.

In addition to wine country the number of craft and the number of growing brewing distilleries as well as cideries that are producing product both for purchase locally as well as around the Northwest and in some cases around the world . it's a very interesting process to get people educated about it , and educating on where to go and how to see it so we developed a web site called spiritsandhops trail.com to help them find all the craft beverages in the valley. http://spiritsandhopstrail.com/

So need something to do this weekend, check out http://spiritsandhopstrail.com/
