I'm Susan Allen for over 13 years WSU Small Farms and Tilth Producers have been conducting educational Farm Walks. They take place across the state on a variety of topics and there is still time to get on tomorrow's, here is Liza Burke Communications Director for Seattle Tilth Producers

Burke: We have a Farm Walk coming up Wednesday, July 20 its on managing pests and diseases on the farm, so the focus is on scouting row cover and crop rotation. It's going to be at the new Newaukum Valley Farm, Chehalis

So how do you register?

Burke: People should sign up in advance and you can do that Seattletilth.org. And it does have a fee, $25, or $15 if you are a member of Seattle Tilth or Tilth Producers. It s a whole lot of fun, chance for farmer to farmer education, for networking and a chance to learn a specific focus in farming and people have a nice time doing it.

She says anywhere from 15 to 50 people attend and that if you miss this one there will be a couple more in August.

There's a couple coming up in August, on August on August 8th we are going to be in Kettle Falls at Cliffside Organic Orchard and talking about Organic Orchard managements.

You can never stop learning in farming, and we will keep you posted regarding next months Farm Walks.
