A discussion with the Executive Direct director of the Idaho Cattle Association. I started off with a question regarding the USDA's continued pressure to reduce antibiotic use in livestock. "We don't exactly know yet. They want to more. It's all a part of a microbial stewardship program to determine microbial resistance patterns and how it's being isolated for humans. Don't exactly know how they're going to get all the data, how much they will attain or how much they need. We want to cooperate as much as we can because like everyone else in the public we don’t want to build any resistance. That is why we administer all of our antibiotics very judiciously and according to label. We want to be an active partner in that process but our concern obviously is that they are requesting too much data.”
