Choosing a Shotgun

Good friend Chris Claunch tells me why he chose an over and under. A good friend helped me on a very frustrating journey to buy a durable over and under shotgun that I could utilize for shooting pheasants and chukars over my dogs. He provided me all I needed to make my decision and I actually purchased my oh so loved Winchester over and under. What was it about this gun that you loved? As I grew a little older and started to mature, I decided to move from the gun that shot five shells and trying to get as many shots as I could out to finding a gun that would have the accuracy of a trap shooting over and under shotgun but have the durability of a field gun that if I tripped and fell and through my gun out in front of me into the rocks, I would be able to pick it up and continue using it because it is a reality out there. When you are chukar hunting, it is an extreme sport. There is very grueling terrain so I didn't want to pay a really large price for a field over and under shotgun but I still wanted the performance of that trap shooting gun and my friend was able to show me some solutions to my dilemma. This gun had a low price point but it performs day in and day out if you just give it the love and care it needs when you get back from the field.
