Alliance for Potato Research and Education's Role in Industry

The Alliance for Potato Research and Education or APRE is organization that is dedicated to expanding and translating research into evidence-based policy and education initiatives that recognize the role of all forms of potato as part of a healthy lifestyle. APRE’s President and CEO Dr. Maureen Storey shares more
Storey: “The role that the alliance plays is to support research in academic organizations as well as educational initiatives and we also conduct and publish our own research.”
If you haven’t checked out their website APRE.org — you should as it has a lot of research and information on the nutritional benefit of potatoes — potassium and dietary fiber to name a few.
Storey: “And because potatoes are such a rich source of potassium, I think that those are some very important points that we can use and are using right now to talk about potatoes in a positive way and a very important way about just how much potatoes contribute to our diets.”
