Williams Retires

Jeff Williams, President and CEO of Glanbia Foods USA, is retiring January 2015 after 25 years of service, the past 11 years leading as President  & CEO of the US Cheese business.   Williams, “After much deliberation and talking with family, I feel it is the right time for me to complete my tenure here and realize other personal aspirations.” 

 

In his time as President and CEO of Glanbia Foods USA, Jeff has overseen and lead significant growth and development of Glanbia’s cheese business as the company built its #1 position in the American Style Cheese Manufacturer.  Brian Phelan, CEO Global Ingredients, “During his time as CEO, Williams has demonstrated great leadership, deepened our strategic partnerships with key customers as well as drove pioneering developments such as the Cheese Innovation Center. Jeff is widely respected and regarded in the company and the wider dairy industry for his effective leadership and business acumen and for his integrity and collegiality. “

 

Williams told me “He wants to hunt, fish, improve his golf game and re-aquaint himself with his wife of over 30 years.” Williams will remain with Glanbia as a consultant. Effective January 2015, the executive leadership team will report directly to Phelan pending further announcement on the leadership structure for the business.
