Ditch the Rule Grassroots Communications Effort

That is a Missouri Farm Bureau’s Klay family’s YouTube Video to Frozen’s tune Let it Go — one of the many things available when you explore #ditchtherule. The American Farm Bureau has taken the grass roots participation up a notch through their social media campaign — hashtag DitchTheRule.
In our continuing conversation about EPA’s proposed expansion of the Clean Water Act. Oregon’s Farm Bureau Anne Marie Moss shares more contemporary campaign — mainly through social media
Moss: “They’ve just really put it all out in a timely manner and had a lot of options. So from my perspective, this is one of the first and I think the most expansive social media campaigns that the American Farm Bureau has spearheaded. And I think it has been really effective. I think a lot farmers and ranchers have made comments to the EPA — which at the end of the day is what we are trying to accomplish here.”
