I ran into Kyle Letterle of the Modern Fishing Report at a sportsmen’s show recently and we chatted. Modern Fishing Report joins the social media era. It allows users to share their own reports and take a look at reports that have been shared by everybody else in the community. You put all of that together and you get a complete look at fishing reports and CFR takes it one step further by collecting that data, measuring those metrics and coming out with a personalized fishing report for each and every member. So I joined this club? We like to think of it as a community. I go fishing, find a great fishing hole or stream, catch a rainbow or a cutthroat, and I personally filed a report about my experience? That is exactly correct. You let us know exactly where you went. It is real simple to drop a pin GPS location on a map or if you happen to have reception on your smart phone you can use it that way. If you want to, you can keep your super secret fishing spot a secret and we won’t let everybody know the exact location but we will still use that for the metrics, we just won't give away your spot. It is absolutely free and we intend for it to be that way for anybody with an Internet connection to make an account. It's kind of like a Facebook for fishing, correct? I would say that is not too far off the mark. Communityfishingreport.com
