More On Movento. I'm Greg Martin with today's Line On Agriculture.

Potato growers are currently in the planning stages for the 2014 crop and if you are looking for some help when it comes to pests Steve Olson with Bayer Crop Science says a good choice is Movento.

OLSON: When somebody is looking at a potato spray program for the year and you can fins a product that can control several things especially if you time it well you can really apply some better value in selection of an insecticide, you're controlling several pests with one application.

And Olson talks about the timing on the application of Movento.

OLSON: Of course the potatoes will have to be out of the ground. It's not registered for a soil use. Typical application timing would be somewhere maybe 45-60 days after emergence so somewhere maybe in that row closure to flowering time frame. Different varieties are going to mature at different times and the growing areas are going to have an affect as well.

If you have questions or need more information on any of Bayer's products they are there to help.

OLSON: The information resources are plentiful. From the university extension through your local suppliers, the local industry groups. The potato industry groups. You've got the manufacturers such as Bayer Crop Science that have several products that fit into that marketplace and provide good solutions for different issues that are fairly common for potato growers.

That's today's Line On Agriculture. I'm Greg Martin on the Ag Information Network.
