Livestock Apps that Help Producers

Livestock Apps that Help Producers

Wondering about what to get that hard-to-buy-for rancher on your Christmas list? Have you considered a iPhone or iPad app that will replace that little book he carries around in his front pocket in which to record calving dates and weights and other various data.

Rob George president and founder of iSimple Type Apps says that his family-run business is dedicated to the livestock industry and providing apps that ranchers and producers need to make their life easier. And in addition to having had livestock apps on the market for more than two years, his company provides support on their apps.

George: "We're invested for the long haul. They are going to be a lot of comers and goers. There is already a half dozen copy cats out there. But the distinguishing factor is we offer support. We just recently added live web-chat. I'm online from 7 o'clock in the morning to about 5 o'clock in the evening central time and if you need to ask me a question real time -- I'm available for that."

The company has multiple apps available to ranchers including: iCattleMgr, iCattlePro, iLlvestockMgr, iHorseMgr, and iPastureMgr.

He adds that there are lite -- less expensive -- versions of the CattlePro if you want to test drive the app that is a good way to learn a bit more about it before purchasing the full version.

To learn more go their website at icattlemgrpro.com or find them on iTunes App.
