Wheat Finishes Lower
I'm KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for November 5, 2013.Wheat prices finished lower Monday on light trading volume, while the U.S. winter wheat crop continues to benefit form recent fall rains. From the floor of the CME Group, Greg Wagner shares his observations of Monday's markets.
Wagner: "Well hello, Monday's trade here at the CME Group was in the grains was rather uneventful. Wheat market nickel lower we're looking at 6.62 and 3/4 -- not a lot to say there. The market rejected the above $7 level technically that we traded at not too long ago. As far as the wheat crop goes, fundamentally the winter wheat crop is in good shape and crop condition ratings are good."
Chicago December Wheat ended Monday down a nickel at 6-62 and 3/4. December corn ended the day down a penny at 4-26 and 1/4.??Portland prices for soft white white were down a nickel at mostly 7-06 and 3/4. White club wheat prices were down a nickel at mostly 7-26 and 3/4. Bids for Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein were not available for November delivery. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein were down 6 and 1/4 cents at mostly 8-33 and 1/4.
?December live cattle were up 2 and half cents Monday at 132-10. January Feeder cattle were up 37 and half cents at 163-85. December class III milk was down 19 cents at 18-08.
