Wheat Down Again

Wheat Down Again

I'm KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for November 6, 2013.

Corn, soybeans, and wheat all closed lower Tuesday with the market bracing

for possible increases in USDA's production estimates for corn and soybeans

Friday. December Chicago wheat closed lower with rain continuing to benefit the

new winter wheat crop. From the floor of the CME Group, Frank Lesh shares his observations of Tuesday's markets.

Lesh: "For Tuesday's trade in the agricultural markets we were lower across the board. Though not much in the corn market December corn down less than a penny for Tuesday trade. And December wheat also down about six cents or so. Corn that is another new three-year low, although this market is just drifting lower on a lack of interest. It makes new lows but not by any means a violent trade - it just sort of drifts lower."

Chicago December Wheat ended Tuesday down 6 and 3/4 cents at 6-56. December corn ended the day down 1 and 1/4 cents at 4-25.??Portland prices for soft white white were down 6 and 3/4 cents at mostly 7-00 even. White club wheat prices were down 6 and 3/4 cents at mostly 7-20. Bids for Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were not available for November delivery. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein were down 5 and 1/2 cents at mostly 8-27 and 3/4.

?December live cattle were down a nickel Tuesday at 132-05. January Feeder cattle were up $1.22 and half at 165-07 and half. December class III milk was up a nickel at 18-13.
