7-9 IAT Strong Roots
How can a plant to the healthy if it doesn’t have healthy roots? The answer is, it can’t.
It seems pretty intuitive doesn’t it? The base of the plant is its root system through which come most of its nutritional and water intake. So suffice it to say that healthy plants begin with strong, healthy roots. Dr. Eric Tedford - technical product lead for Syngenta, describes how stronger, deeper root systems can help reduce lodging for an increased return on investment for farmers. not surprisingly, Dr. Tedford is touting a product that is produced by Syngenta in accomplishing that goal, QuiltXcel. “QuiltXcel Fungicide provides increasing root health. Roots are extremely important to the plant because they are the anchor to the plant and the way they develop is very important. The better able they are to tap into water and nutrients the better able they are to produce the best crop. With QuiltXcel Fungicide we tend to see a jump start of the plant growing and a lot of this has to do with the roots taking off and getting a good early start by getting down deep into the soil. And that is important because if you get a dry year like last year, you want to have a deep anchor root to make sure your plants survive.
