 Lea Beckett and her ex-lawyer husband Bill certainly have an entrepreneurial spirit. After he left his law practice, he took the next logical step and started a distillery to make vodka out of potatoes. Huh?  Yup that’s what he did and as interesting a leap as that is, it turns out that the Becketts found lots of uses for the waste products that come along with distilling vodka. They found a way to freeze brand cattle and now you’re going to hear about how one of their byproducts is useful in tractors. “What we call the heads  are the low volatile alcohols. They are 95% alcohol when they come off the still so there is only 5% water. You can run that through a fuel filter that removes water and then mix it with diesel fuel for tractors at a rate of about 5 to 10% and it gives you better starts in cold weather. So our byproducts are actually very very good for agricultural community.
