6-20 IAN Glanbia Medals

 Glanbia Foods tops the list for producing some of the best cheese in the United States.  Glanbia Cheese earned 3 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals in the prestigious 2013 US Championship Cheese Contest.  In addition, Glanbia’s joint venture plant, Southwest Cheese in Clovis, New Mexico, was awarded both a gold and silver medal.  The event is hosted by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association and held in Madison, Wisconsin.  Out of 1,702 entries representing 30 states, Glanbia and Southwest Cheese were awarded:

• 4 Gold Medals:  Monterey, Reduced Fat, Bandaged Cheddar, Colby
• 3 Silver Medals:  Colby Jack, Reduced Sodium Cheddar, Colby

• 2 Bronze Medals:  Gouda/Black Olives & Garlic, Flavored Pepperjack

The medals won in both world and national contests are now numbering 64.
