5-29 IAT Save Nitrogen

Help the environment and increase your profitability with improved nitrogen management.

Farmers are continuously looking for new ways to better manage the nitrogen they apply to their fields - whether it’s to help the environment or increase their profitability - or a combination of the two.  Agronomist Jeff Thompson says up to 50-percent of applied nitrogen can be lost in three ways - leaching, volatilization and denitrification. Thompson says the weather is a major factor in determining which of these can be a major issue. To help reduce nitrogen losses - Thompson says farmers can use a nitrogen stabilizer. “NutriSphere-N works against all three forms of loss. Leaching, volatilization and denitrification, the NutriSphere-N will help to protect the nitrogen and help to keep it in the ammonium form whether it is a urea-based fertilizer or a UAN  based nitrogen fertilizer and keep it stabilized in the ammonium form which is what the plant wants.

Thompson says it’s so important to keep nitrogen stabilized - and in the form plants want to use - because not only will it save farmers money - but it will also help with yields. This has been shown through trials and use of NutriSphere-N on more than 20-million acres in 40 states. In fact - on its own - Thompson says NutriSphere-N has shown an average yield increase of 12.8-bushels per acre in 254 corn trials
