ICA Annual Summer Meeting

ICA Annual Summer Meeting

As summer rapidly approaches, the Idaho Cattle Association will hold its Summer Round Up at the end of June in McCall at The Hunt Lodge. ICA Communication Director Jessie Thompson shares more details.

Thompson: “The Idaho Cattle Association is going to hold their Summer Round Up which is our summer annual meeting. It will be June 26, 27 and 28. This year it will be in McCall -- which is very exciting. That is the furthest north we’ve held it in a really long time so we are hoping to reach out to some new producers in the area. It is going to be three-days chocked full of issues, discussions, dinner and fun on the side.”

In addition to the usual meeting sessions there will be a golf scramble and also a 5K Fun Run. There will be a Range Monitoring workshop as well as a special Steer to Steak Symposium sponsored by the Idaho Beef Council.

Thompson encourages Idaho ranchers to participate in this year’s Summer Round Up.

Thompson: “We want anybody and everybody to come. This is a great way to update yourself on what’s going on in the cattle industry. Meet new people. to learn things that will impact your operation for the better -- it is truly a learning experience. I wish that every producer in the area would come.”

Registration and more details can be found at the ICA website at www.idahocattle.org.
