Fruit School

Fruit School. I’m Greg Martin with today’s Fruit Grower Report.

Sign ups begin today for the 2013 WSU Fruit School: The Honeycrisp Experience: Production, Harvest and Storage a collaboration between Washington State University, the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission and Washington State Horticultural Association. The Ag Networks Lacy Gray has more.

GRAY: The Honeycrisp apple has been getting more and more popular over recent years and the Fruit School is your opportunity to learn more. This educational opportunity will offer three events which will follow this apple through production, harvest and storage. Those who wish to attend will have a choice of three orchard locations: Royal City, Yakima and Brewster for the first two events.

Thanks Lacy. Event 1: Summer Field Day: decisions made on establishment, production, irrigation, etc. Event 2: Pre-Harvest Field Day will return to the same locations in September during harvest. And Event 3: Post-Harvest Meeting will be a full day event that will take place December 5th following the WSHA Hort Convention in Wenatchee.

That’s today’s Fruit Grower Report. I’m Greg Martin on the Ag Information Network.
