5-15 SS African Safari
One stop shopping at Sportsman’s Warehouse.
Talk about a complete inventory. Puyallup, Washington’s Sportsman’s Warehouse sales associate Al Strup can help you if you want to book an African safari. This is not all of their stores but a great option for an avid African hunter. “I have been several times and I’m getting ready to go again, I am a booking agent so I do book people into Africa. I sell hunts into Namibia and South Africa. I have an outfitter over in Namibia that I use all the time and it is mostly plains game. I have a couple of other outfitters in south Africa that I work with. I do buffalo hunts that I can book in too. the average hunt will run 10 days, you are on the ground 12 days but the first day doesn’t count and then you have 10 full days of hunting and we work out the package in terms of what you want to do. There is a day rate and based on the number of hunters, and you select the animal you want and I work out the numbers. Typical package for a first-time hunter in Namibia might be a kudu, and Oryx, a springbok, maybe a warthog, a blue wildebeest, those are the normal ones I set up. Give me an idea of what it costs? $8500.
