3-6 IAT Sustainability

 Glanbia Foods and sustainability appear to be going hand-in-hand..... I had a recent discussion with Whitney Beem who is the media contact for Glanbia Foods and she was talking at length about their attempts at sustainability. I thought it would be fun to challenge her about the term sustainability. “Sustainability It is always being bounced around in the agricultural industry. I must’ve done 1 billion stories on sustainability and I still don’t know what it means. Sustainability has several different folds. That is why it is so confusing. To us it is economic. Sustainability Is an environmental sustainability and then there is corporate to sustainability, so they are all tied together. I was one of the people that worked on this report and I would say that the Sustainability is a word that is thrown around quite a bit. We just try to focus on explaining what Sustainability means to us. That is looking at how we are trying to make sure we run a sustainable business within our community and how we are being respectable of the environment in our operations. How we do business and how we are trying to do business better. So in your world, Sustainability means that Glanbia Foods is going to be around for a long time to come. Yes.
