USPB Has Convenient App

I'm KayDee Gilkey with the U.S. Potato Update brought to you by Syngenta and the United States Potato Board. Listen carefully so you can answer the Spuds, Scales and Sleds Sweepstakes question.

The United States Potato Board is always looking for ways to improve communications with U.S. potato growers. That is why the USPB launched its smart phone app last January. Have you downloaded the app yet?

David Fraser, USPB Vice President Industry Communications and Policy, says the key in sharing USPB information is finding the communication avenues like the app that are easy and convenient for the growers and the allied industry.

Fraser: “It is simply delivers really three key areas: It delivers the current the press releases, it delivers the current Industry update and delivers this radio program on a weekly basis. In addition will also have a map of where we are during the winter time with all the state meetings. So what we are trying to do is get the latest information about what the program is accomplishing in growers’ hands in a way that is convenient. Right there in their pocket -- everyone pretty much has a smart phone these days or tablet, iPad. They can get this app right on their iPad or right on their phone so they are constantly informed about what is going on.”

Don’t have time to find it in your smart phone’s app store? Well then, then USPB has provided QR codes on their website that will take you right to the app. Doesn’t get much easier.

That’s the U.S. Potato Update brought to you by the United States Potato Board, maximizing return on grower investment.
