2-14 IAT BLM Lobbies

 BLM running scared from the environmental lobbies.

 In a recent conversation with Wyatt Prescott, I learned that BLM is bowing to pressures from environmental lobbies by cutting back grazing allotments  by almost 50% for cattle ranchers in Owyhee County.  “They are extremely appalling to the grazing industry. Essentially they issued cuts up to 50% reduction in utilization which is crippling and will put some of those family businesses out of business.  And they did all such, not in reaction to the resource, as they will state, but in reality it is a staging ground to keep our environmental friends away from litigating, BLM knows the only way them happy is to reduce cows. ( So BLM is reacting to pressure from politics, there is no data to support their contention.) Absolutely. That is exactly why we are so angry at this proposed decision. They issue reduction in utilization and reduction in grazing  based on section 8 which is raising where there are endangered animals, and they are talking about the sage grouse, when the fish and wildlife service says that grazing is not a primary threat to the species but instead wildfires are and raising is one of the only ways that we can help reduce those fine fuels that cause catastrophic wild fires.
