1-3 SS Tag Deadlines

1-3 SS Tag Deadlines

You might want to think seriously about applying for Western hunting tags.    It is serious business get a tag and Eastman’s hunting magazine’s Guy Eastman has some tips. “ Applying for hunting tags out West is very complicated. You have 10 Western states and 7 species so you have 70 different options with every state being different so it can be a very complicated situation to try and sort all of that out. Our MRS section in the back of the magazine for subscribers copies only is a supplement in the back of the magazine. It walks people through the process and handicaps the hunting areas. Which areas are best, which are not the best, what are the draw odds,  what are the season dates, what are the quotas, what the success rates are, even what kind of public access the area has, so it is a really good start to doing your research. It helps you spend your time and money wisely. When you prepare to apply for tags, you must do your research. Every state has a different application deadline. The 1st one would be Wyoming’s elk deadline and it is January 31st. Other deadlines cascade through the winter and spring and I think the final deadlines are June 5th in Arizona. You can spread that out throughout the year but it still gets very expensive. To apply for everything in every state would cost you in excess of $30,000.
