11-14 SS Zac Lifestyle
I met a 14-year-old young man who could be a role model for all young people. His name is Zak Cooper and not surprisingly he is an ardent hunter. He started hunting with his dad at a young age, never stopped. Listen to how articulate and humble he is.
It all started when I was 4 years old and I was blessed to take my 1st deer with my father and I have been blessed to take over 100 Whitetail now some with my bow and some of my rifle about 50-50 I guess. For me it isn’t a hobby, it’s a lifestyle. I live and breathe hunting. Of course I have to stay on top of my grades at school but as long as I keep making straight A’s and keeping a 4.2 GPA, my principal is more than happy to let me miss school. Last year I missed 38 days of high school but still maintained a straight a average. I am now full time dual enrollment which is at the college and it is a little bit more difficult but I still have A’s. Is an old expression, hunt with your kids and you will not have to hunt for your kids. That is exactly what I am talking about because some parents want a closeness with their children. You want to get close to your kid, sit in a tree stand and hunt for a deer for a whole day with them. It will bring you closer together than anything else in the world. I have never had any problem with peer pressure to do bad things because I have been too busy hunting.
