I’m Greg Martin with today’s AgriBeef Minute. There is a big sale coming up and according to rancher Terry Anderson the Double RR/7UP Bull Sale is a joint sale this year.

ANDERSON: What we’ve done is combined the two feedstock operations into one sale and it’s referred to as the Family of Brands Bull Sale.

Anderson says there are some 300 bulls being offered this year.

ANDERSON: I think what really makes this sale unique is that everyone is very aware of the 7UP Simm/Angus composite program. We have purebred Angus for calving ease and growth Angus bulls but also various percentages of Simm/Angus combinations depending on what the rancher wants to put back into his program.

Then he says you add in the Double RR bulls.

ANDERSON: It’s really one of the few Angus operations in the country, at least in the Pacific Northwest, that produces bulls to be sold specifically as 2-year olds. They’re not sold or sorted through and these are not just bulls from a previous sale.

This sale includes a special internet video preview at agribeef.com or liveautionc.tv. The internet auctions begins November 1 and runs through the 5th. I’m Greg Martin and that’s today’s AgriBeef Minute.
